Who We Are

About PhileFest

PhileFest is a fan-run convention celebrating 30 years of The X-Files. We’re not a corporation and we’re not affiliated with the studio — we’re Philes, like you, who wanted a weekend worthy of the show that shaped us.

Our mission

For three days at the Mall of America, we bring the people who made The X-Files — cast, writers and directors — together with the community that kept it alive between seasons, revivals and reruns. Panels, autographs, screenings, live music and a card-game tournament: everything we ever wanted from a convention, built by fans who still believe.

Not-for-the-studio, for the fans

PhileFest is an independent, fan-organised event. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by 20th Century Studios, Ten Thirteen Productions or any rights-holder. All trademarks belong to their respective owners; we’re just here for the love of the show.

Meet the Team

SP

Sawyer Pruitt

Festival Director

Sawyer founded PhileFest after two decades of running fan tables at conventions across the Midwest. A lifelong Phile who can quote the pilot from memory, he oversees programming, guests and the overall vision for the weekend.

DO

Delphine Okafor

Head of Programming

Delphine builds the panel schedule and wrangles the guest line-up. A former film-festival coordinator, she has a particular soft spot for the show’s monster-of-the-week classics and the writers who made them.

GY

Gus Yamamoto

Dealer Room & Merch Lead

Gus runs the gift shop and the dealer room. A collector of screen-used props and vintage CCG cards, he writes our shop drops and spotlights the artists in the vendor hall.

HV

Harriet “Hex” Vance

Community & Panels Host

Hex hosts the fan retrospective and moderates the main-stage panels. She cut her teeth running online Phile forums in the dial-up era and still believes the fandom is the best part of the show.

Come find the truth with us

September at the Mall of America. Three days. Trust no one — except maybe the person in the next seat, who loves this show as much as you do.
